Azellia Shapiro - Colorist & Producer
Crafting stories with emotional impact and visual precision.
I believe that storytelling whether on screen or behind the scenes is how we grow, connect, and understand the world. With a background spanning editorial, finishing, and creative production, I bring both technical precision and narrative insight to every frame I touch. My work is about elevating emotion, honoring detail, and amplifying voice through color, light, and human connection.

A Colorist’s Eye. A Producer’s Mind. A Storyteller’s Heart.
I work at the intersection of story, emotion, and visual design, color grading for impact and producing media that resonates.
â
As a colorist, I’ve worked with major post-production houses like Company 3, Duplitech, and MorningStar Entertainment, where I’ve crafted polished, broadcast-ready looks for studios and streamers alike. I’ve brought narrative and branded content to life for clients including Cadillac, Kohl’s, and MGM. My toolkit includes DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Cloud, Dolby Vision workflows. I pride myself on my ability to translate emotional tone into visual color space.
â
As a producer, I lead with creative empathy and logistical clarity. I’ve overseen short films, social campaigns, and indie projects from concept through delivery, always adapting to scope, team, and audience needs. I’m currently producing my first feature film, now in active development, and committed to telling stories that explore the depths of identity, justice, and transformation. I thrive in resourceful environments where a strong vision meets a tight timeline.
â
At my core, I’m passionate about the power of story. I believe great creative work should stir conversation, disrupt norms, and reflect the diversity of the world we live in. Whether I’m collaborating with a director in the bay or scouting locations in Vermont, I bring curiosity, care, and a deep respect for the story itself.
